Grow Your Own Cut Flowers Workshop

Are you wanting to grow your own cut flowers? Join me in the barn for a seed starting workshop where you'll get to start your own seeds! During this workshop you'll learn about the process of starting flowers from seed, how to grow and take care of them, how to plant them out, and how to care for them once they're planted.

You'll get a variety of my favorite cut flower seeds to plant in your tray and take home including strawflower, cosmos, feverfew, and celosia. You'll be starting a total of 36 plants, but you'll also take extra seeds home to directly plant into your garden. This class includes detailed printed instructions for you to reference, take notes in, and take home.

New this year:

I will also give you some basic information on starting seeds in soil blocks. You'll get to try out some different soil blockers including some from a local company, Swift Blocker.

Extra Details:

• Supplies included in this workshop: heavy duty & reusable seed starting tray, humidity dome, seeds, and soil. I will have some light snacks and drinks available, too. 

• This workshop will provide you with enough seeds and plants to fill about 30-40 square feet of garden space.

• Please, no children under 10.

• Each person attending must purchase a ticket.

• We will be in the barn, so please dress warm in layers if it happens to be a chilly day.

• I suggest bringing a pair of gardening gloves for when you fill your tray with soil. I will have extra if you don't have any or forget!

• A bathroom is available.

• Tickets are non-refundable, but you can gift your ticket to a friend or family member if you're not able to attend.
